Job summary

Apploi in Alexandria, VA is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist with ADLs and provide companion care for an elderly gentleman. Shifts are weekdays, 10am-5pm. The client has Alzheimer's and requires standby assistance during showers and transfers, with a shower chair and walker used.

Start at $18 per hour, plus holiday overtime and referral bonuses. Electronic scheduling and payments are provided, with a smartphone app for access.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Caregiver.
• CNA is highly desirable.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test.
• COVID-19 and flu Immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Follows the instructions of the PAS Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the PAS Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.
