The role requires the ability to cook large quantities, work with a diverse population, and communicate clearly with staff. A sanitation certificate is preferred and high school education is required.

Qualifications

• Sanitation certificate required.
• Experience cooking in large quantities in a hospital or senior care setting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Follow dietary restrictions and provide alternatives for residents.
• Maintain sanitation and hygienic food handling practices.
• Communicate effectively with team and residents; maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrate initiative and professional judgment in meal preparation.
