Job summary

Responsibilities include aiding with meals, transfers, vital signs, and housekeeping, while ensuring residents’ comfort and dignity. CPR certification is required, and on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred as education background.

Responsibilities

• Assists with care needs including toileting, ambulation, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, escorting and transferring.
• Understands alert status and reports changes immediately to appropriate staff.
• Follows the resident's interim service plan and notifies the Resident Care Coordinator/HSD of changes.
• Assist in dining room during meal times: set up, take orders, serve, and clean tables after meals.
• Help residents attend scheduled activities and accompany them to appointments.
• Prepare residents for appointments and bring them to the lobby as needed.
• Restock incontinent supplies and assist with laundry for residents.
• Take accurate vital signs and weights; participate in routine housekeeping and upkeep of resident apartments.
• Report safety concerns to management and assist with incident reporting.
• Answer call lights promptly and manage pagers/keys/radios during shifts.
