Job summary

Friendly Connections Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with disabilities and seniors live more independently in New Jersey. This in-person role is approximately 6 hours per week, Thursday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, at Belford NJ 07718 and surrounding areas.

You will accompany the client into the community, providing companionship and support. Responsibilities include helping with life skills, communication, technology use, and social engagement, plus job coaching when

Qualifications

• Must love working with and helping people.
• Experience with disabilities, seniors, dementia preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in achieving greater independence and community involvement.
• Assist with life skills development, communication, technology use, and social engagement.
• Provide job coaching and employment support when needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality standards.
• Help individuals build confidence, independence, and meaningful community connections.
