RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time Saturday shift from 12p to 8p. You will assist individuals with disabilities in daily living, promote independence, and encourage community participation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to follow pre-employment screening and background checks.
• Knowledge of disability rights and community integration.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals’ human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals.
• Facilitate community engagement with work, recreation, and social events.
• Teach independent living skills and personal care tasks.
• Provide transportation for appointments and activities.
• Support relationship-building within the community.
• Assist with decision-making regarding living, work and activities.
• Assist with personal care and household tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services.
• Address challenges with effective advocacy strategies.
• Connect individuals with community resources for development.
• Encourage effective communication tailored to needs.
• Assist with medication administration per state laws.
