Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated, flexible, enjoy challenges, and must be willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
• Follows all safety rules and requirements. Promotes a strong safety culture and maintains a safe environment for customers/participants and co-workers.
• Pushing wheelchairs and assisting with other adaptive equipment during regular program activities and in emergency evacuations
• Ability to provide emergency first aid care to participants including all components of CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants to use restroom and transfer on and off stool or wheelchair to bed.
• Move equipment/material handling up to 50-pound boxes, tables, chairs; bend, stretch and reach to retrieve materials.
• Train participants in vocational tasks and meet production demands while on your feet up to 5 hours.
• Maintain participant safety with visual surveillance, auditory monitoring and physical support.
• Support during seizures, emergencies, or transfers and assist with safe moves to chairs, beds or floors.
