Job summary

The Caring Commute in Jacksonville, FL is seeking compassionate and reliable Drivers to provide safe, dependable transportation for community members who rely on us most.

As a driver, you will follow schedules, assist passengers, maintain a clean vehicle, complete logs, and communicate professionally with families and dispatch. A valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous driving experience, preferably in passenger transport or related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
• Ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges with patience and respect.
• Strong punctuality and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-focused attitude.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers to and from scheduled destinations in a timely manner.
• Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing in the vehicle as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to real-time changes.
• Communicate professionally with passengers, families, and dispatch.
• Complete trip logs, mileage reports, and other required documentation accurately.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
