Job summary

Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center is seeking a dependable team member to assist with meal service, dishwashing, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. This role helps ensure residents and guests receive excellent dining service in a safe and welcoming environment.

The position involves washing and sanitizing dishes, transporting items between areas, stocking service ware, and maintaining infection control in a healthcare setting. Weekdays, evenings, and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout a shift.
• Ability to read and follow directions accurately.
• Friendly and able to communicate effectively in English with residents and coworkers.
• Comfortable working in a Christian retirement community.

Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Transport dishes between dining room, kitchen, and dishwashing area.
• Keep wait staff stocked with dishes, silverware, and serving items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen following infection control and food safety guidelines.
• Use supplies and equipment safely and according to Fairhaven policies.
• Provide friendly and respectful service to residents and coworkers.
• Protect resident privacy and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Report any concerns involving resident safety, rights, abuse, or neglect.
