Job summary

Help at Home is seeking caring, dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. We provide one-on-one support to help individuals build daily living skills and live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a background check and required training.
  • Valid driver?s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
  • Provide hands-on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
  • Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
  • Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
  • Promote personal choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
