Job summary

Danville-Services is seeking Direct Support Staff to assist adults with developmental disabilities in living independently and meaningfully. You will support daily living activities, document changes, and help residents thrive in a group home or day program.

This role offers varied shifts (morning, day, evening, overnight, on-call) with paid training, a $250 sign-on bonus after training, and voluntary benefits including PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Patience and Understanding are essential in daily care.

• Excellent communication with residents and families.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
• Able to pass a background check
• Provide compassionate care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting
• Observe and report any changes in individuals' behavior or health status
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
• Foster effective communication and build positive relationships with individuals and their families
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care
