Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a friendly dining server to courteously serve residents and guests, assist with menu orders, beverages, and tray service. The role supports a clean dining area, proper service, and adherence to confidentiality and safety standards.

Applicants should be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be in clean designated uniform during working hours and maintain good personal hygiene.
• Must be able to read and follow simple instructions.
• Must possess ability to perform simple, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to learn quickly and apply learned principles.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work under close supervision.
• Must be able to bend, reach, grasp, push and pull objects.
• Must be able to stand and walk for sustained periods up to three (3) hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and carry heavy objects for 20 feet.
• Must be organized and willing to work well with other team members.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents when placing orders from the menu and serves meals courteously.
• Provides beverage service (water, iced tea, juices, milk and coffee/tea).
• Refills salt/pepper/sugar bowls before and after meals.
• Reports broken equipment or tableware to supervisor.
• Understands sit-down service and proper serving techniques.
• Assists with tray service.
• Interacts politely with residents, guests, co-workers and supervisors.
