Job summary

Liberty Senior Living in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced SERVER to provide excellent dining room service to tenants and guests. You will assist with seating, food service, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area in accordance with safety and sanitation policies.

Responsibilities include prepping and plating foods, assisting with menu rotation, and ensuring a positive dining experience that supports independence and well-being for residents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 6 months or more experience in a restaurant, hotel, or country club.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a food safety certification.
• Work experience in a service-oriented profession preferred but not required.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards the elderly are essential.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• Attends trainings and department meetings when necessary.
• Performs other duties as outlined by supervisor.
• Efficiently communicates instructions and feedback to guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to tenants and guests in the dining room.
• Assists with seating and ensures seating availability for meals.
• Maintains neat appearance and adheres to Liberty dress code.
• Keeps tables set, stocked, and organized with flatware, napkins, and placements.
• Maintains cleanliness of dining and serving areas and equipment.
• Rotates menus, manages guest charge tickets, and uses POS forms as needed.
• Assists with dishwashing and cleaning as required.
• Supports dining room sanitation and safety procedures.
