Job summary

Cedarhurst of Shawnee is seeking a Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will assist with daily meal service, events, and coordination with the team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and resident satisfaction.

The role emphasizes courteous service, accurate order taking, and effective communication with residents and families, while supporting cost-conscious operations and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with ability to obtain licensure if required by the state in which employed.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word) and other digital tools is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions.
• Promptly take food and beverage orders and deliver service to residents and guests.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area following safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; complete daily checklists for kitchen and dining areas.
