Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Coralville, IA seeks a part-time Dining Room Server to assist with serving meals, bussing tables and maintaining the dining area. Weekend, afternoon and evening shifts support resident comfort and service quality.

You will take orders, operate the dining POS, provide friendly customer service, and help keep tables, chairs, and dining spaces clean and organized to ensure a positive resident experience.

Qualifications

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Patience and a customer-focused attitude.
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Standing, walking, and moving about for 3–3.75 hours per shift without sitting.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the designated POS system.
• Provide customer service to residents to ensure high levels of satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu.
• Address residents by name and note food/beverage likes and dislikes.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve the beverage of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups filled; clear tables as needed and bus tables after meals.
• Vacuum carpet in dining area after each meal.
• Maintain confidentiality of information pertaining to residents, operations, and personnel.
• Report injuries to supervisor before end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned
