Job summary

Riverside Senior Living is seeking an attentive Wait Staff member to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our residents. You will take orders, serve meals, ensure dietary needs are met, and maintain a clean, welcoming dining environment in collaboration with the dietary team.

The role emphasizes resident interaction, adherence to safety standards, and teamwork with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and satisfaction during every meal.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Certification or ServSafe Certification is preferred but not required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, senior living, or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, take accurate meal orders, and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Serve meals and beverages to residents observing dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Engage with residents to address concerns or special requests promptly.
• Set up and clear dining tables, ensuring the area is clean and welcoming.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain cleanliness in serving areas.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth dining service.
• Document meal choices, dietary preferences, and any issues related to food service as required.
• Assist in the preparation and service of meals for special events and functions.
• Check inventory levels for dining room supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Mentor new wait staff and assist in training them on dining room procedures and resident service standards.
