Job summary

Pearl of Elk Grove is seeking a Diet Aide to support the Dietary Department in daily meal service and sanitation. You will assist with meal preparation, tray assembly, and serving residents under the direction of the Dietary Manager, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Candidates should be a high school graduate with preferred institutional dietary experience, able to read recipes and diet orders, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate; institutional dietary service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipe directions, diet orders, and tray cards.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform cleaning duties.
• Compliance with HIPAA and sanitation policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine dietary work and cleaning duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times and maintain infection control.
• Follow federal and state long-term care regulations and departmental policies.
• Maintain sanitation and safe work environment.
