Job summary

Walnut Grove Care & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Dietary Cook for the Days shift (5:30 AM – 1:00 PM) to support our residents with nutritious meals. You will determine quantities, assist in ordering, and supervise kitchen staff while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience preferred in dietary or food service roles.
• Maintain a working email address and phone number for employer communication.

Responsibilities

• Review planned menus to determine meats, vegetables, and soups quantities.
• Submit orders to Dietary Supervisor to meet weekly menus.
• Assist in inventory management and flag shortages to Dietary Supervisor.
• Supervise dietary workers during food prep and dishwashing.
• Prepare foods and nourishments per approved recipes and diet orders.
• Observe infection prevention and maintain a clean kitchen.
• Perform duties to support resident safety and care.
