Job summary

Applingwood Post Acute in Cordova, Tennessee seeks a Dietary Cook to prepare meals per menus and dietary requirements. You will follow federal/state guidelines under the Dietitian or Dietary Services Supervisor, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Responsibilities include cooking, texture-modified diets, snacks, and ensuring proper equipment with trays. Prior supervisory experience and a food handler certificate are preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• One year dietary experience in a supervisory capacity preferred but not required.
• One year cooking experience required.
• Food handler certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable and appetizing meals in accordance with planned menus and temperature requirements.
• Prepare food for therapeutic and texture modified diets per diet orders.
• Assist in preparing and serving residents' nutritional snacks and nourishments as needed.
• Ensure equipment and utensils are available with meals; provide special equipment as ordered.
• Prepare and serve alternate food choices for residents who refuse foods.
