Open schedule with starting pay of $17.50 per hour. This position emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to dietary guidelines, safety protocols, and teamwork with the dietary department to meet residents' nutritional needs.

Qualifications

• Previous assisted living or nursing home experience is highly preferred; experience with geriatric patients is a plus.
• Food service or food industry background with knowledge of food preparation.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and basic math for portioning and inventory management.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude toward residents or patients.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents with professionalism and care, adhering to dietary requirements and safety standards.
• Assist in food production and meal preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and food service equipment through regular sanitation and cleaning routines.
• Support with bussing tables, sanitizing utensils, and ensuring a welcoming dining experience for all residents or patients.
• Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy trays or supplies, utilizing manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
• Collaborate with dietary department staff to meet individual nutritional needs and assist with special dietary requests.
