Job summary

Montevistahcc is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to assist in all food functions in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will work with the dietary team to prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, and support residents with dignity and respect.

You will cooperate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. The role requires adherence to policies and confidentiality of resident care information.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dietician / Dietary Management and Cook as requested.
• Help with meal preparation according to residents' dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are palatable and visually appealing.
• Set up meal service on time and deliver meal trays and carts.
• Follow established portion controls.
• Adhere to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal prep and cleanup.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Sweep and mop floors as needed.
• Handle dishwashing and utensil cleaning.
• Return clean dishes to storage areas.
• Dispose of garbage per facility rules.
• Obtain food supplies for next meal.
• Follow safety regulations and precautions at all times.
• Report occupational exposures to blood or body fluids to a supervisor.
