Job summary

Countryside Mental Health in Belmont, KS is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in kitchen areas before, during, and after meals. You will help keep equipment and areas clean, assist in serving meals and beverages, and prepare between-meal snacks.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours, weekends and holidays when necessary.
• Must use transfer/gait belt to assist residents when lifting or carrying.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Facility's policies and procedures.
• Report hazards or abuse to supervisor promptly.
• Treat residents, families, visitors and staff with dignity and respect.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Ensure dietary procedures follow established policies.
• Assist in serving meals and pouring beverages.
• Prepare and serve in-between meal nourishment snacks.
• Assist in daily cleaning tasks per policies.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators, food storage areas.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning; ensure utensils are available for next meal.
• Assist cook in meal preparation when needed.
• Follow safety regulations at all times.
• Follow Infection Control policies and keep department clean and safe.
• Report hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.
