Job summary

Northbrook Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support our food service operations. You will assist in meal preparation and delivery while upholding high hygiene and food safety standards.

Responsibilities include serving meals according to dietary restrictions, keeping dining areas clean, and coordinating with kitchen staff to meet residents' dietary needs. Open availability including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food service or dietary settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations is beneficial.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Compassionate, reliable and dedicated to service.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Open availability including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Ensure that food is served in an attractive and appetizing manner.
• Help with cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain inventory of food supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food.
• Provide support to the kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as directed.
• Ensure that meals are served promptly and in proper portion sizes.
• Communicate with other team members to ensure dietary needs are met.
