Elan Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Scranton, PA is seeking a Full-Time Dietary Aide to join our kitchen team. AM and PM shifts available, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Vacation, Sick, Personal, Holiday Pay, Life Insurance, 403(b), and Short & Long Term Disability.

The position supports meal prep, service, sanitation, and stocking according to dietary restrictions. Starting pay is $16.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; preferred but not required
• Must be reliable and responsible, with good attendance
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and follow directions

Responsibilities

• Serve residents in dining room according to dietary restrictions and posted menus
• Take food carts to nursing units and serve meals on tray line
• Store food and supplies in a sanitary manner with proper labeling and dating
• Breakdown and reset dining room following procedures
• Perform cleaning duties and wash dishes to sanitary standards
• Assist in food preparation with vegetables, fruits, and baking when needed
• Assist with special functions and events
