Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation Nursing in Beacon, NY is seeking dedicated Dietary Aides to join our 160-bed facility. You will support residents with nutritious meals, maintain sanitation, and ensure safe food handling while delivering thoughtful service to patients and staff in a team-friendly atmosphere.

The role emphasizes professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety policies, contributing to a warm, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have genuine caring attitude toward seniors.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds.
• Must comply with NYS vaccine mandate.

Responsibilities

• Handles food and equipment according to sanitation policies and procedures.
• Observes proper food handling techniques; sets up food for tray line and dining rooms.
• Delivers and retrieves food carts to and from client’s area.
• Sets up trays for meals/work trays line position.
• Processes soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through dishwasher.
• Assists in the serving of food.
• Prepares snacks and beverages between meals for patients.
• Prepares nutritional supplements and tube feeding products and delivers to customer areas.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout work areas.
• Performs daily or scheduled cleaning duties; scrubs and mops floors and equipment.
• Participates in all in-service activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of protected health information.
