Allure HCS in Sterling, IL is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide for part-time shifts from 6am-2pm or 4pm-8pm.

You will assist with meal preparation, serve residents, maintain sanitary kitchens, and help with snacks and dining room service in a supportive, team-focused environment.

No prior experience required; English reading and communication skills are needed, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing food practices
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace

Responsabilités

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes and special diet orders
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks, as well as substitute foods for residents who refuse foods served
• Ensure food, equipment, and supplies are prepared in accordance with sanitary regulations
• Maintain the department in a clean and safe manner, ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are maintained
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal
• Prepare and deliver snacks, etc., as instructed
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas, and serve food and drinks in the dining room as instructed
• Sweep and mop floors in the kitchen and dish room as instructed by supervisor
