Job summary

Aperion Care Hanover is seeking a Dietary Aide to support all food functions in accordance with food policies. Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals per planned menus, providing snacks, and ensuring sanitation and infection control standards are followed.

The role requires ability to read, write, speak, and understand English, attention to cleanliness, safety and equipment care, and a patient, cheerful disposition when interacting with residents.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Maintains supplies and equipment and inspects food service areas for sanitation, order, and safety.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Must be willing to handle residents based on maturity level.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing food practices.
• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.

Responsibilities

• Review, prepare & serve meals according to planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders; provide snacks and substitutions.
• Ensure department is clean and safe; maintain equipment and supplies; follow infection control precautions.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning; prepare and deliver snacks; deliver food carts and trays; serve in dining room; sweep/mop floors as instructed.
