Fresenius Medical Care North America in Decatur, AL seeks a licensed practical nurse to provide direct patient care in the dialysis clinic. You will perform dialysis procedures, monitor treatment parameters, document care, and educate patients and families as part of a skilled healthcare team.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and strong communication while maintaining a compassionate approach to patients undergoing renal therapy. LPN/LVN licensure is required.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN) with current state licensure.
• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• Successfully complete CPR Certification.
• Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patient(s).
• Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures as prescribed.
• Administer and monitor treatments according to the treatment plan.
• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on flow sheets.
• Document patient information in the medical record.
• Report significant information or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Educate patient and family about dialysis, diet, and medications.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with CPR when needed.
• Operate dialysis equipment safely and maintain a clean clinical area.
• Participate in staff meetings and care plan coordination.
