Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Inglewood, CA seeks a patient care technician to join the dialysis health care team under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, recording vitals and treatment data, and supporting infection control and CQI activities. A high school diploma and CPR certification are required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or training provided.
• CMS/state certification requirements must be met within required timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Evaluate vascular access and monitor patient during treatment.
• Record vital signs, treatment parameters, and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and monitor for safety alarms.
• Contribute to CQI activities and infection control practices.
• Assist in training of direct patient care staff under RN supervision.
