Job summary

Montgomery Smiles seeks a friendly Dental Assistant to support our dentists in a busy practice. The ideal candidate shows empathy, patience, quick thinking and a willingness to help others. Responsibilities include room prep, instrument sterilization, X-rays, patient greeting, scheduling and record keeping.

1–2 years of dental assisting experience is preferred. We offer an hourly rate with paid vacation/holidays, 401k with matching, and comprehensive health/dental/vision plans.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience preferred.
• Outstanding professionalism, high moral standards, and a self-motivated work ethic.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with coworkers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment is ready for dentists.
• Assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and anticipating needs.
• Take and process X-rays of patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures.
• Greet patients and schedule appointments; advise on oral hygiene.
• Handle general administrative duties to maintain the dental practice.
