Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Dementia Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors at home. Modified full-time (30 hours weekly) positions cover the Tri-County area (Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston counties), with flexible shifts, competitive base pay, and 1:1 client ratios.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and a compassionate, communicative approach. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Tri-County area shifts, primarily Monday–Friday.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
• Compassionate and good communicator; able to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience with dementia/memory care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so seniors can live safely at home.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
• Assist with ambulation, transferring, and ROM exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and report changes to supervisor.
• Create a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Engage clients with activities like puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies.
