Job summary

Charter Senior Living of Mequon is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious, flavorful meals for our residents. You will assist with menu planning, cook according to dietary needs, ensure food presentation is appealing, and maintain strict kitchen cleanliness and safety standards to support a warm dining experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary certification is a plus.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting.
• Strong culinary skills with focus on presentation and dietary requirements for elderly residents.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Assist in planning weekly menus considering residents’ dietary needs and restrictions.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures; maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Engage with residents to address preferences and dietary concerns.
• Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage freshness of ingredients.
• Maintain and report kitchen equipment issues; collaborate with staff.
• Complete required documentation like temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
