Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health is hiring a Cook at the Daniel K. Akaka State Veterans Home in Kapolei, HI. You will prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals for Kupuna, ensuring quality and adherence to special diets.

Responsibilities include supporting kitchen and dining operations, maintaining sanitation, and sanitizing equipment. Shifts include Sunday/Monday mornings and weekday day shifts, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Knowledge of menu planning, preparation methods, and inspection of food items.
• Knowledge of kitchen management, sanitation, safety and personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Supports all activities in the department including kitchen and dining areas.
• Responsible for the quality of meals served, quality of service and compliance with special diets for Kupuna.
• Breakdown and sanitize food service locations and equipment.
