Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.
• Apt with cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the director's supervision.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to recipes.
• Prepares quality food products according to recipes and menus.
• Adheres to safety and sanitation standards.
• Cooks in a timely manner at meal times.
• Maintains cleaning and storage of dishes and equipment.
• Labels and dates all food in storage.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu changes to utilize leftovers and supplies.
