Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook with ability to follow recipes and menus.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines in food service.
• Skilled in preparing meals and using cooking equipment.
• Friendly with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Capable of performing duties with good physical stamina.
• High school diploma or equivalent; food service certification is a plus.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under the direction of the food services director.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to recipes.
• Prepares quality food products according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation standards.
• Cooks in a timely manner at scheduled meal times.
• Responds to community issues or concerns in the dining room.
• Follows sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
