Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares delicious, nourishing meals to meet daily nutritional needs and dietary requirements.
• Cooks meals according to menus developed by dietitians.
• Ensures meals are prepared and served at proper temperatures and times.
• Uses ingredients efficiently to minimize waste.
• Supervises kitchen staff regarding storage, prep, tray assembly and cleaning.
• When needed, supervises culinary staff in the absence of the chef or dietary manager.
