Job summary

ComForCare in Cape May County, NJ seeks reliable Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to cover immediate cases. You will provide companionship, basic caregiving, meal prep, errands, and transportation.

This non-medical role supports clients in their homes with flexible day/evening/overnight shifts and weekends. Applicants must have a valid driver\'s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• A caring, patient, and mature demeanor with a passion for helping others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Assist with light housekeeping and maintaining a tidy home.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks.
• Assist with running errands and grocery shopping.
• Provide transportation for appointments and social outings.
• Offer medication reminders.
• Engage clients in activities such as hobbies, reading, puzzles, and walks.
• Observe and report any changes in the client\'s physical, mental, or emotional condition to the Agency Manager.

We are seeking reliable Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) throughout Cape May County including Cape May Courthouse, Oceanview, Wildwood, Rio Grande and surrounding areas within Cape May County.

Key Responsibilities (Non-Medical/Companionship Only)

• Provide engaging companionship, conversation, and emotional support.

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions.
• Assist with running errands and grocery shopping.
• Provide transportation for appointments and social outings.
• Offer medication reminders (not administration).
• Engage clients in stimulating activities such as hobbies, reading, puzzles, and walks.
• Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition to the Agency Manager.
