Job summary

A Bright Future, Inc is seeking a Community Living Instructor / Caregiver to assist a blind client living in a private Napa apartment. The role involves guiding daily living activities, ensuring safety, health, and happiness under the conservator's directives.

The caregiver will follow strict routines, interact calmly and professionally, and work Monday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. CPR/First Aid and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification are required.
• Background check (fingerprint) is mandatory.
• Follow directions strictly per conservator's rules.
• Maintain high professionalism at all times.
• Must be skilled at gently encouraging clients to complete tasks.
• Maintain clear professional boundaries with family choices.

Responsibilities

• Daily routines: remind and prompt showers and medicines.
• Meal prep and diet: follow the diet plan provided by the conservator.
• Home care: keep the one-bedroom apartment clean and organized.
• Community outings: take the client for daily walks for exercise and fresh air.
• Health tracking: help the client maintain good personal habits, including daily tooth brushing.
