Job summary

Sevita is hiring a caregiver in Virginia to support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living. You’ll assist with personal hygiene, help participants pursue goals, and encourage community participation, all within a mission-driven team. Compassion, reliability and teamwork are essential.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least six months in human services or direct care. We offer paid time off, full benefits, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Vehicle: valid driver''s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene.
• Support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants participate in community activities and pursue developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
