Job summary

Hawthorn Senior Living is seeking a dependable driver to provide transportation for residents within the community and to approved destinations. The role involves operating the community bus or other vehicles safely, adhering to schedules, and assisting with non-driving duties as needed.

You will communicate effectively with residents and staff, ensure timely pickups and drop-offs, and help maintain vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
• Ability to operate the community bus or other vehicles safely at all times.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to resident safety and customer service in a busy environment.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and ensure vehicle safety inspections are completed.

Responsibilities

• Drive the community bus or other vehicles to and from required destinations.
• Transport residents to appointments and activities in a timely, courteous manner.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; report any mechanical issues.
• Assist residents with dining room and non-driving duties as directed by management.
• Adhere to all safety policies and scheduling directives.
