Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or related training
• Pass Level II background check and random drug tests
• Florida Driver's License with CDL Endorsement
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate for CDL
• Ability to operate vehicle safely per traffic regulations
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
• Ability to handle transit issues professionally
• Basic calculations for tallying passengers

Responsibilities

• Drive senior citizens to various destinations
• Assist frail passengers in mounting/dismounting vehicle
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic maintenance
• Perform pre/post vehicle inspections
• Check tires, brakes, fluids, and safety equipment
• Report mechanical concerns to supervisor
• Comply with traffic regulations and safety
• Provide backup to route drivers as needed
• Attend training and staff meetings
