Job summary

Listening Ear Crisis Center is seeking a dedicated LEA Consumer Support Worker to assist adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in community activities. Responsibilities include meal assistance, transportation, documentation, and adherence to the consumer’s Person Centered Plan and Michigan health and safety codes.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of laws and policies for caring for adults with disabilities.
• Able to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks.
• 18 years or older; basic math and English literacy.

Responsibilities

• Engage with consumers to implement activities per their plan.
• Transport consumers to activities in a timely manner.
• Complete and deliver documentation for consumer services.
• Attend mandatory trainings and remain at the location for scheduled activities.
