Job summary

Greenwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Transportation Driver (CNA) to safely transport residents to medical appointments and activities, and to assist with boarding and mobility needs. The role includes pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintaining trip records.

Applicants must hold a KY chauffeur license and CNA certification, with prior healthcare driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Kentucky chauffeur license with clean driving record.
• Current Kentucky CNA certification.
• Healthcare driving experience preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for residents to and from medical appointments, social activities, and other approved destinations
• Ensure trips are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of residents
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Report any maintenance issues or incidents to the supervisor
• Assist residents with boarding and alighting, ensuring safety and comfort
• Secure wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids
• Maintain accurate records of trips, including times, destinations, and any incidents
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and staff
• Provide friendly and courteous service
• Address concerns from residents or their families professionally
