Job summary

Harborview Health Center Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team in a full-time role across all shifts. You will provide direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision, assist with ADLs, monitor vitals, and help residents with mobility while maintaining a safe environment.

Ideal candidates will have a state-approved CNA program, active CNA certification, and strong communication skills; physical ability to assist residents is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families
• Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans
