Job summary

Harborview Health Systems in Melbourne, FL is looking for a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate team. This role provides direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision, assists with daily living activities, and monitors vital signs in a faith-based, resident-centered setting.

The CNA will support mobility, safety, and documentation, while delivering emotional support to residents and families. Active CNA certification and state-approved training are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Assist with resident mobility, turning, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents and their families.
• Assist in the documentation of care and report changes in condition to nursing staff.
• Support the care team in developing and implementing individualized care plans.
