Northwell is seeking a Nursing Assistant in Manhasset, NY to assist residents in achieving maximum independence in daily living activities. You will support direct and indirect patient care under supervision, monitor vital signs, and help with feeding and hygiene per facility policy.

The role emphasizes infection control, safety, and adherence to essential job functions. Certification and state-specific requirements are mandatory, with additional Northwell CNA training offered.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current New York State CNA certification is required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience or completion of Northwell CNA Certification Program.

Responsabilidades

• Administer nursing care under supervision to residents/patients to maximize independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living and oversee tasks as directed.
• Take vital signs and report abnormal values to RN.
• Assist with meals and feeding in accordance with policy.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Clean equipment and replenish supplies as needed.
• Transport residents under RN direction according to procedures.
• Provide grade I decubitus care and skin care via turning and positioning.
• Apply dressings and manage warm/cold compresses; apply creams as appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as required; these are essential functions under ADA.
