Job summary

Winchester Health & Rehabilitation in Winchester, VA is hiring compassionate CNAs to join our long-term care and skilled nursing family. You will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of licensed staff and help residents with daily activities in a warm, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing and licensed in relevant state.
• Previous experience in long-term care or senior living (preferred).
• Compassionate, reliable, and patient-centered.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds - physical work is a primary part of the job.
• Able to stand, bend and walk for extended time periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to residents under the direction of the licensed nurse supervisor.
• Assist residents with daily care, including bathing, grooming, hygiene, and placement of adaptive equipment.
• Keep residents dry and comfortable; change gowns and linens as needed.
• Assist residents with bowel and bladder functions and ambulation.
• Assist with transporting residents to appointments, activities, and social programs.
• Assist with lifting, positioning, and transporting residents in beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
• Perform restorative procedures as instructed and record vital signs as instructed.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident units and related areas.
