Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Hospital in Oregon is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient care team. You will support nursing staff and assist patients with daily living activities to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and basic care, while maintaining a clean environment and providing emotional support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Oregon CNA I or II license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Strong customer service and professional phone skills.
• Interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork across departments.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care across diverse populations.
• Background check, drug screen and references required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding and other basic care needs.
• Taking and recording vital signs, weights and routine observations.
• Supporting nursing staff with clinical tasks as appropriate.
• Ensuring patient rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Providing emotional support and promoting a positive environment for patients and families.
