Job summary

Riverside Health in Gloucester, Virginia is hiring for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. The position includes 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and day shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Actual pay is based on experience, education, credentials, and internal equity. Requirements include CNA/EMT-B/MA program or current enrollment with 80+ clinical hours, plus BLS upon hire. Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following criteria: CNA license, EMT-B license, Medical Assistant program graduate, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with 80+ hours of clinical completed.

Responsibilities

• Assists under RN supervision with patient care and the environment.
• Performs treatments and procedures per unit competency, including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, dressings and splinting as directed.
• Ensures accurate clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains clean, safe work areas and ensures equipment and supplies are ready for patient care.
• Assists with patient admission, discharge, or transfer under charge nurse direction.
