Job summary

Riverside Health System in Gloucester, VA is seeking a patient care assistant (CNA/EMT-B/MA student) to support nursing staff. The role includes basic wound care, EKGs, phlebotomy, and documentation while following the plan of care under RN supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CNA/EMT-B/MA track or nursing student with hours completed, and BLS on hire. 12-hour shifts with every other weekend are required.

Qualifications

• Must meet at least one: CNA, EMT-B, MA program graduate, or nursing student with 80 clinical hours.
• BLS required upon hire.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists under RN supervision with patient care and environment.
• Performs competent procedures and treatments as directed by unit competency.
• Completes clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards and regulations.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and clean, safe work areas.
