Job summary

Health First is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver direct nursing care under RN supervision. You will coordinate unit activities, relay information to health care team, patients, and families, and perform basic patient care tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The role requires a Florida CNA license within 120 days of start date, completion of a CNA course, and BLS certification. Strong English communication, reliability, and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, understand, and respond to all written and verbal instructions in English.
• Proficient in computer software applications (e.g., MS Office, EMR(s)).
• Able to work in stressful environments with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic care to patients in a clean, safe environment and completes tasks timely.
• Communicates effectively with health care team to promote teamwork.
• Assists with IV solutions, medications, and supplies as needed for patient care.
• Maintains clean, safe environment and uses equipment responsibly.
• Collects, records, and reports accurate patient information.
• Performs routine procedures and supports team productivity.
• Provides service to patients with sensitivity to individual differences.
• Contributes to patient experience through hourly rounding and bedside shift reports.
• Supports positive financial performance of the unit.
